Welcome to Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School’s (the “School”) website, which is run by the Ludlow-Taylor PTO, a designated 501(c)(3) organization (the “PTO” or “we”). These Terms of Use (these “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the School website, including any content, information, features, functionality, and services offered through the website (collectively, the “Website”).
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website.
The PTO is an independent nonprofit organization that supports the students, families, teachers, staff, programs, and community of Ludlow-Taylor Elementary School.
The Website is provided for informational, educational, fundraising, volunteer coordination, community engagement, and related PTO purposes. The PTO may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue Website content or functionality at any time without notice.
The PTO is separate from the District of Columbia Public Schools, the School, and any other governmental entity. References to school events, activities, announcements, and programs are provided for informational purposes and do not necessarily reflect official positions of any governmental agency or school administration.
Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the Website for lawful, personal, non-commercial, and school-community purposes.
You agree not to:
The Website may provide links or access to third-party payment processors, fundraising platforms, or donation tools, including PayPal and similar services.
Donations and payment transactions may be processed by third parties and may be subject to separate terms, conditions, fees, disclosures, and privacy policies maintained by those providers.
The PTO is not responsible for the operation, availability, security, payment processing, data handling, or privacy practices of any third-party payment processor or fundraising platform.
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, applications, services, social media platforms, fundraising tools, volunteer-management systems, event-registration systems, calendars, embedded content, or other resources.
The PTO does not control and is not responsible for the content, policies, practices, security, accessibility, or availability of third-party websites or services. Accessing any third-party website or service is at your own risk.
The Website may now or in the future permit users to communicate with the PTO, subscribe to communications, register for events, volunteer, submit forms, make donations, participate in surveys, or otherwise provide information.
You agree that any information you provide will be accurate and will not violate the rights of any third party or applicable law.
The PTO does not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Website and asks users not to submit student records, health information, special education information, financial account information, Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or other confidential or sensitive personal information through the Website unless the PTO specifically requests such information and provides appropriate instructions.
The PTO reserves the right, but not the obligation, to remove, decline, delete, or refuse any submission that it believes violates these Terms, applicable law, or PTO policies.
Unless otherwise indicated, the Website and its contents, including text, graphics, logos, photographs, artwork, designs, compilations, and other materials, are owned by or licensed to the PTO and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may view, download, and print Website materials solely for personal, educational, school-community, or informational purposes. No other use is permitted without prior written permission from the PTO.
The Website may contain photographs, videos, audio recordings, names, event descriptions, and other media depicting or referring to school events, PTO activities, volunteers, students, families, teachers, staff, and community members.
The PTO endeavors to use photographs and media in a manner consistent with applicable permissions, authorizations, school practices, PTO practices, and legal requirements. If you believe content has been posted in error or raises a privacy, safety, or sensitivity concern, please contact the PTO using the contact information provided on the Website.
Nothing in these Terms guarantees that any particular photograph, video, or media item will be removed upon request, but the PTO will consider good-faith requests in light of applicable circumstances.
The PTO is committed to promoting accessibility and strives to make the Website usable by individuals of all abilities.
Accessibility standards, technologies, and best practices continue to evolve, and the PTO seeks to improve accessibility over time. If you encounter accessibility barriers while using the Website, please contact the PTO so that we may consider appropriate improvements or alternate means of providing the requested information.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PTO, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, VOLUNTEERS, MEMBERS, COMMITTEE PARTICIPANTS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE WEBSITE.
If liability cannot be excluded, the PTO’s total liability arising from or relating to the Website shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the PTO and its officers, directors, volunteers, members, committee participants, representatives, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Website, or your violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
The PTO may modify the Website and these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Website following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
