Taste for the Arts Auction
Each year, the Ludlow-Taylor PTO hosts the Taste for the Arts Auction. This event is an opportunity for families, teachers, staff, and community members to spend a fun night out in support of our school.
The 2018 Taste for the Arts Auction and Gala was held on April 7 at St. Marks Church. The night featured art created by Mr. JP, students of Ludlow-Taylor and parent artist Rikki Schmidle. Over 200 people attended and ate, drank and danced the night away all while raising money for Ludlow-Taylor.
The Auction Committee is thrilled to announce that over $53,000 was raised through the 2018 Auction!
The money will be used to support Ludlow-Taylor teachers, staff, and students. A big thank you to all who donated, attended, and purchased items through the auction. A special thank you to the auction team: Katie Bergeron, Katie Clark, Maureen Cleaver, Dan Goldburt, Tricia Jefferson, Melissa Kilbride, Emily Kuiken, Abby Levine, Kari Mccarron, Lauren McDermott, Rekha Patricio, Amy Rzepka, Rikki Schmidle, Melissa Sellevaag, Delya Sommerville, Rebecca Thomas and Cheryl Zimmer for their work in planning and executing a successful and fun night. Thank you also to May Curry, Karen Fligger, and Ebony Washington for their marketing and design work.
Volunteers and community support are critical to making this event a success. To date, the Ludlow-Taylor community has raised over $140,000 to support teacher and student activities at all grade levels through sponsorships and auction proceeds.
