Good afternoon LTES parents and community! We have been having so much fun at school lately. The Holiday festival was amazing! The work from Ms. Hannah, Mr. Levy, multiple staff and families, and our students, made for an incredible community experience this past Saturday. Some families liked the event so much, they asked for more outdoor activities. We are working on ways to do this, once the weather warms up a bit.
I am currently working on a Sign-Up Genius form for parents who may be interested in volunteering for recess duty in the New Year. This service would allow teachers time for planning, collaborating, and responding to the increased demands of this school year. Thank you in advance for considering volunteering and supporting LTES in this role. More information will be coming soon for sign-ups.
Please remember we have a Parent Listening Session coming this Wednesday, 12/15 from 6-7. The Zoom link is on the web site. This session will feature myself and Instructional Superintendent Albert-Garvey to check in with the community. We hope you can make it. Your feedback and collaboration are vital to the success of our program and how we support the community.
Winter Break is fast approaching (next Wednesday is our last day before the break until January 3rd, 2022). The weather is getting colder, and we have SO MANY coats that have been left at school. Please check in at drop off to see if we have your child’s coat. If you still have your original winter coat, label it with your child’s name, along with hats, gloves and anything else that you want to come home.
