LTES Families:
We are just about into the 4th quarter of school.  The year has flown by, and with Spring Break along with multiple days off in May, I am sure this last portion of school with go even faster.  Schools often see higher absences and tardies in the 4th quarter, so help us in making sure students are here and on time.
Playground Update: 
Thank you all for the continued support around the playground.  The first step was completed today in setting up a safety fence around the blacktop/construction area!  We will still have access to the garden and field, using the same exit (in the ECE wing).  I was told a few more permits are still needed, but either way, there is at least some progress now.
Re-Enrollment:
Reenrollment has begun.  We are encouraging families to re-enroll as soon as possible to this date so that we can best prepare for next year.  On Wednesdays, the office staff will be around until 5:30 for anyone that would like to register in the afternoon.  Our goal is to have 90% of families enrolled by Spring Break.
2017-2018 After-School Enrollment:
After-school enrollment has been moved to Monday May, 1st.  As a reminder, students must first complete school registration in order to be able to register for after school programming.  Please reach out to DCPS at ostp.dcps@dc.gov or Ms. Thomas at brenda.thomas@dc.gov with any questions.
Taste for The Arts Auction:
I want to thank everyone for making The Taste for The Arts Auction such a success this year.  It was great to see so many teachers, families and community members out.  We are looking forward to expanding it further next week.  A very special thank you to Mr. JP and to the auction committee for making it all happen.
Important Dates:
- April 17th – Spring Break begins
- May 18th – Half day for students
- May 19th – Parent teacher conference day – no school
- May 29th – Memorial Day – no school
