Congratulations to Kindergarten students, Brian F., Connor M., Cora S., Ella S., Lea N., and Sana W., whose art was entered in the National Cherry Blossom Festival's Youth Art Contest! Ella's work was awarded an honorable mention.

This year's theme is “Home is where the Blossoms are.” Students were encourage to create artwork that tells their “Home is where the Blossoms are” story—what they look forward to when spring rolls around and what the cherry blossoms mean to their community.

Submissions will be showcased in a Community Art Show at the Pepco Edison Place Gallery (702 8th Street, NW) from Tuesday, March 27 – Thursday, April 12, 2018.

Location: Pepco Edison Place Gallery; 702 8th Street, NW

Hours: Tuesdays-Fridays, Noon -4:00 pm
Special Hours: Saturday, April 7, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; Sunday, April 8, 10:00 am– 2:00 pm; Monday, April 9, 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Admission is free. Stop by and support our student artists and entrants in grades K-12 from DC Public and Charter Schools.

Thanks to Mr. Jean-Pierre for organizing and supporting our students' entries!
