SUMMARY:Session 1 of The Future Stars Enrichments Registration Begins (5PM)
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that Session 1 of The Future Stars Enrichment Program at Ludlow-Taylor schedule will begin September 8th! The session will run for a duration of 12 weeks\, concluding on December 5th. \nTo ensure smooth registration and scheduling\, HERE you will find the Session 1 schedule. It outlines the activities\, timings\, and important dates for your reference. We have a few new clubs that have joined our community; CLICK HERE for club descriptions.  \n Registration for Session 1 will officially open on August 1st and close September 1st at 5pm.  \nPlease follow the steps below to guide you through the registration process: \n1. Purchase a ONE-TIME membership HERE to have access to all TFS activities at Ludlow-Taylor (if you purchased one when registering for after-care\, you will NOT need to purchase again. I️ recommend you complete this before 5pm on Friday\, August 1st)\n2. Fill out the information for your students and your profile is then complete!\n\n At 5pm on August 1st\, all of the enrichment clubs for you to register will go live. To find and pay for clubs follow the steps below:\n\n1. Go to our website\n2. Click the tab ‘Location’\n3. Click Ludlow -Taylor\n4. Click Sessions-there you will see the price and names of all that is live and ready for you to register. \n\n\n\nClub Zone!\nClub zone is offered to families who are enrolled in 2 or more clubs. This gives families the opportunity to receive extended care services\, after clubs\, at a discounted rate. Please email our team at ludlowtaylor@thefuturestars.net for the registration link. Please note: If you wish for your student to attend aftercare starting August 25th – all club zone invoices must be paid by August 15th at 5pm. \n\n\n\n\nMATH & READING WITH FRIENDS\n\nThe Future Stars\, with assistance from the PTO\, will be offering both Math With Friends (“MWF”) and Reading With Friends (“RWF”) this fall!  For new members of the community\, MWF & RWF is LT’s after school tutoring program. These programs provide students with small-group instruction geared to existing levels of ability.\n \nBoth MWF & RWF will start on 9/8 and conclude on 12/5.\n \nFinancial assistance is available for families as necessary – please reach out to Ms. Isaacs at aisaacs@thefuturestars.net to apply.\n \nAvailability in both programs is constrained by the number of teachers opting in to teach.  As such\, seats will be allocated first & foremost according to academic need. In order to register your interest in either (or both) programs please complete this Form HERE:\n\nPlease note the following regarding the MWF and RWF Form:\n\n\nThe form is now live and will remain open until 11:59 PM on August 17th.  NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.\nA separate form MUST be submitted for each student.\nEnd of Year Math & Reading scores are required in order to form groups of students with similar abilities.  THESE SCORES CAN BE FOUND ON EACH STUDENTS DCPS TERM 4 REPORT CARD.  For students coming to LT from a non-DCPS school please use the final question in the form to provide qualitative feedback on a student’s ability-level. \nThe Future Stars will directly communicate to parents ONLY IF a spot is offered to your student.\n\n\n \n\nShould you have any questions or technical difficulties please don’t hesitate to reach out to Ms. Mahni mhellams@thefuturestars.net. You can also text Ms. Mahni @ 301-337-7068. We’re here to assist you every step of the way.
