Warriors' Night Out: FAQs
We know the auction has a LOT of different components to it, so we thought it would be helpful to gather answers to some of the most common questions!
- Why should I buy a ticket for the April 23 event?
Not only does your ticket price benefit our students (this is a fundraiser after all), but the evening will be fun! Our event space at Ivy City Smokehouse features an outdoor deck as well as an inside area with a stage and dance floor. There will be live music, dancing, drinks (beer & wine), food (heavy appetizers), and the chance to meet other parents and members of the community! - When does bidding open for auction items?
Soon! We are hoping to open online bidding before spring break so that everyone has time to browse the catalog before the live event. Bidding will remain open until the event ends on Saturday, April 23.
- Do I have to attend the live event to bid on auction items?
No! Bidding for the majority of the auction items will take place through our online bidding platform, Bidding Owl. This means that if you are unable to attend the live event on April 23, you can still participate in the bidding.
However, there will be a select number of auction items (including the items from our art auction), that will only be available during live bidding at the event. - Who can attend the auction?
Parents, caregivers, teachers, and other community members--but not students! This is an event for the adults. - What is included when I purchase a ticket to the live event?
Your ticket to the live event on Saturday, April 23, includes food (heavy appetizers), drinks (beer & wine), live music from The Dad Band, a chance to participate in our live (silent) art auction, and a chance to laugh, dance, and get to know other members of the Ludlow-Taylor community. - How fancy is the event on April 23? Do I need to get dressed up?
There is no specific attire required! If pressed, we would say that "dressy casual" works, by don't let that stop you if you are feeling like you want to kick it up a notch. Whether you dress up or dress down, don't forget to wear your dancing shoes! - How do Teacher & Family Experiences fit into the auction?
These are separate events that we organize under the umbrella of the auction (and which are still fundraisers for our school). These items are sold as experiences and are available to multiple people--either as a larger experience to bid on with a group OR through the purchase of individual tickets). Tickets for some experiences are already on sale. Click here for details.
