The Warrior Fund
What is the Warrior Fund? An annual fundraising campaign to support Ludlow-Taylor’s students, teachers, and staff.
Where do funds go? Donations to the Warrior Fund make up a significant portion of the PTO budget — 25% in past years. Think aftercare, teacher support, academic support, and community events.
How can I donate? Online, in-person, or by mail! Our 2023 campaign kicks off on Giving Tuesday (11/28), but you can donate at any time!
Donate via PayPal
Our preferred digital payment for the Warrior Fund (for tax purposes). Donations made via PayPal include a tax deductible receipt. When using PayPal, make Ludlow-Taylor your favorite charity by clicking the heart. We receive an extra $1 with every transaction you make. You can donate via credit card without a PayPal account!
Donate In Person
- On Giving Tuesday (November 28) you can donate during drop-off or at the PTO meeting (6-7pm).
- During drop-off on November 29, 30, and December 1.
- At the Holiday Concert & Fair on December 9

Donate by Check
- Mail your checks to the PTO at: 659 G Street NE, Washington DC 20002
- Drop them in the mail slot at the PTO President’s residence: 622 Lexington Place NE
- Hand them to us at an in-person giving opportunity (see above)
Other Digital Payments
- We can accept Venmo, Zelle, or CashApp, but cannot provide a tax deductible receipt. Contact us at ptotreasurer@ludlowtaylor.org to give via any of these methods.
Warrior Fund Challenge: Silly String Principal Miller
We encourage every family to donate what you can, whether that is $2, $20, $200, or $2,000! Every dollar directly supports Ludlow-Taylor, and our goal is for 75% of families to contribute.
This year, the grade level with the highest overall rate of participation during the first 10 days of the 2023 Warrior Fund Drive will get to silly string Principal Miller on Saturday December 9 at the Holiday Concert & Fair!
Donate at ANY AMOUNT between Tuesday November 27 & Thursday December 7 and your donation will count towards the Silly String Challenge!
Where Do Donations to the Warrior Fund Go?
Did you know that every year the Ludlow-Taylor PTO supports our school with funding for fun activities and curriculum needs that the regular DCPS budget does not cover? This year the PTO is planning to support Ludlow-Taylor with nearly $185,000 that will be spent on programs that benefit every child across every grade, including events, teacher supplies and other requests, academic support, and aftercare.
These important contributions to Ludlow-Taylor come mainly from the generous support of our families and community.
In years past, the PTO revenue has come from:
- Ludlow-Taylor Auction (50%)
- Direct donations to Warrior Fund (25%)
- Grants (15%)
- Shopping Promotions, Other Projects (10%)
The support of every family in our community helps make Ludlow-Taylor an academically engaging and nurturing space for our children. Thank you for all you have given of your time and in donations.
HOW TO DONATE
Making a donation to the Ludlow-Taylor Warrior Fund is easy:
